The point of this page is to point out a main difference between freeforms and "traditional" roleplaying games. It's something that a few players have noticed in the past, so it's probably worth my while bringing it to your attention.

Intrigue in the Clouds is an entirely pre-cast game. The writers of the game have produced all the characters, plot and background, so you, the player, have no role in character creation. This doesn't mean that you are totally at my mercy when it comes to what character you play. Intrigue in the Clouds has 31 characters and you can play most of them (the main constraint is gender - I'll cast men as men and women as women: roughly speaking 50% of the characters can be female).

The only constraints are what you want to play and what your fellow players want to play. Basically, I have 31 players and 31 characters and I do my best to ensure that everyone gets to play a character that's as closely matched to their preferences as I can.

This is why I'd really appreciate it if you'd fill out the casting form. This is your chance to tell me what sort of character you'd like to play (and what sort you wouldn't like to play). The more information I have, the better chance you have of getting a character you're going to have fun with.
